New Neighbors Program
YWCA Duluth has been responding to the evolving needs of our community since 1893. We use data and lived experience to guide our efforts. Our 2025 community assessment highlighted a critical challenge. Immigrant communities must fully participate in social, political, economic, and cultural life. This participation is essential for the vibrancy and resilience of Northeastern Minnesota.
In response, we partnered with Justice North and ESHARA. Together, we launched the New Neighbors Program in 2026. This initiative is supported by state funding. It offers one-on-one advocacy and support to community members. We help them navigate complex systems and access vital resources.
