Lack of access to childcare is one factor contributing to children and families living in poverty. YWCA Duluth is improving childcare provider stability through researching and gathering local data that outlines the pain points in the childcare system; leading a task force to share resources, explore solutions and educate others; and shifting the narrative about childcare from an individual family problem to a community need that requires collaboration to find a multi-sector solution.
