CURRENT INITIATIVES

YWCA Duluth was formed in 1893 in order to provide education, employment and housing support for women in the Twin Ports area. We’ve been social activists during our 130+ year history and don’t have plans to stop.

Check out our current initiatives below and get involved where you can. Help us be a catalyst for change!

We recognize that we can’t do this without you. Nor would we want to. This is why we created the Collective Thought Project. From reframing our initiatives based on our findings in our Community Assessment to connecting with likeminded organizations to uplift our community, we will always look to and listen to women.

We initiate policy education on issues pertinent to women and support community organizations through sponsoring events, contacting policy makers and sharing information.

With interns assisting in implementing our policy agenda and a focus on uplifting the voices of historically unheard people, we are living our mission to eliminate racism and empower women.
