YWCA DULUTH IS ON A MISSION TO BE A CATALYST FOR CHANGE
“We need every voice raised and every person engaged to build a movement that will finally deliver on the promise of equality for all.”
Margaret Mitchell, YWCAUSA C.E.O.

We recognize the disproportionate impact that social issues have on people of color as a result of historical and current racial inequity and violence embedded in virtually all systems that our society depends on for stability.
The economic systems in the US play a significant role in upholding inequities among oppressed genders, races and classes.
We advocate for equity and liberation for all oppressed genders — this includes freedom from violence, access to reproductive and gender affirming care, fair wage and an end to discriminatory laws and practices.
We support and advocate for immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers, international students and all migrants to have access to basic human rights including healthcare, due process and a way to make a living.
We support the right of all Americans to participate in the democratic process, to have access and safety in voting in our elections regardless of race or ethnicity, gender identity, disability status or political affiliation.
