Girl Power!

The Girl Power! program is an after school, lunch, and summer day camp program dedicated to cultivating future leaders. YWCA Duluth is a partner of Girls Inc. at YWCA Minneapolis. Through this partnership, Girl Power! uses nationally accredited Girls Inc. leadership curriculum, STEM (science technology engineering math) activities and experiments, race and gender justice activities, economic and media literacy education, field trips, academic support and much more! We work hard to provide our participants with a variety of engaging and empowering experiences that leave them feeling strong, smart, and bold!*

Young Mother's Supportive Housing Program

Our Young Mother’s Supportive Housing Program offers supportive housing to young mothers (ages 16-21) and their infants. YWCA Duluth opened this program in October of 2003 to support young pregnant women/young mothers on a path to economic self-sufficiency. Besides providing safe, supportive housing, advocates help with access to medical care, education, employment and childcare assistance when needed. The services include: case management, parenting classes, money management, self-esteem enhancement, life skills and homework assistance.
