People of Distinction

October 28, 2021

Cocktails and Crudités starting at 5:30 pm

YWCA Duluth’s People of Distinction Event recognizes and honors people — including feminine folx, cis or trans, non-binary or gender non-conforming — who have worked to make our community a more inclusive and just place. Nominations have closed, but we are still seeking sponsors. Visit our sponsor page if you are interested in learning more.

Thanks to maurices and Greysolon Ballroom for Platinum sponsorship of People of Distinction this year!

Hundreds participate each year to enjoy conversation, recognize the amazing contributions of these individuals, hear highlights of the YWCA’s community outreach, network with community colleagues, and donate to YWCA programs.

The YWCA mission is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. Annually, the YWCA holds People of Distinction to publicly honor and recognize people from our community who have made significant contributions related to our mission.

2019 Winners: ChaQuana McEntyre, Sarah Agaton Howes, Ivy Vainio, and Moira Villiard

We’d like to thank our generous sponsors for making this year’s event possible:
